RESOLUTION 108 Approve minutes
Supervisor Catalino moved and Councilman Cooper seconded that the reading of the minutes of the meeting of February 21, 2007 be dispensed with and approved as submitted by the Town Clerk.

Supervisor Catalino stated that the Town Board meeting is a serious matter and the Open Meetings Law gives the public the right to attend the Town Board meeting and listen to Town deliberations. However the public may not participate in the meeting accept upon the invitation of the Town Board.
Supervisor Catalino extended the privilege of the floor to any and all persons present.
Marie Jewitt, 1348 Eden Evans Center Road requested help from the Town of Evans regarding the poor condition of her road even though her road is a County road.
Cheri Hahn, 603 Fulton Ave. thanked Officer Danzi for his assistance a few weeks ago. Thanked the Highway Department for their assistance with the delivery of cinders for their road.
RESOLUTION 109 Sandra Brant, Minor Subdivision Review Committee RE: Kuebler- Voelker minor subdivision 1551 Eden- Evans Center Road
Supervisor Catalino moved and Councilman Bartus seconded,
WHEREAS: in a letter dated February 23, 2007, the Town of Evans Minor Subdivision Review Committee has recommended a negative declaration regarding the SEQR process for the Christina Kuebler-Voelker Minor Subdivision, and
WHEREAS: it has been determined that there will be no significant effect on the environment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED: that the Town Board of the Town of Evans adopts the findings of the T own of Evans Minor Subdivision Review Committee and issues a SEQR negative declaration for the Christina Kuebler-Voelker Minor Subdivision. (Addendum A SEQR short environmental assessment form)
A division of SBL#236.00-1-9.2, dividing a 30.90+/- acre parcel to create:
1. An 8.99+/0 acre parcel with 200+/- feet of frontage on Eden Evans Center Road

RESOLUTION 110 Approve Kuebler-Voelker minor subdivision
Supervisor Catalino moved and Councilman Bartus seconded,
WHEREAS: the Town of Evans Minor Subdivision Review Committee has completed a review and recommended approval, and
WHEREAS: the Evans Town Board, as Lead Agent, issued a negative declaration regarding the SEQR process
NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED: that the Town Board of the Town of Evans hereby adopts the findings of the Town of Evans Minor Subdivision Committee and approves the Christina Kuebler-Voelker Minor Subdivision, a division of SBL#236.00-1-9.2, dividing a 30.90+/- acre parcel to create:
1. An 8.99+/- acre parcel with 200+/- feet of frontage on Eden Evans Center Road
2. A 21.91+/- acre parcel with 512.80+/- feet of frontage on Eden Evans Center Road

Councilman Spence commended the Police Department for a job well done this past weekend.
-Passport applications can be accepted at the Town Clerk's Office please call for availability. Photos can also be taken.
-Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 31st at the Town Park at 10:00am. The rain date is April 7th.
Councilman Bartus commented that letters of commendation were presented to Lt. Masullo, Officer Masullo, Officer Smith, Officer Bluff and Patrolman Bruce Green due to the events that occurred over the weekend.
-Seniors who no longer have driver's licenses need to obtain photo ID from Department of Motor Vehicles.
Councilman Cooper congratulated the Police Department and thanked them for a job well done.
-On March 1st various members of the Town and Village Zoning Board of Appeals, Building Departments and Planning attended a three hour seminar given by Erie County Environment and Planning for their required mandatory continued education by New York State.
Plantasia will be held March 22-25th at the Hamburg Fair Grounds. NEST (North East Southtown Coalition for Recycling) will be presenting a composting demonstration.
-St. Vincent dePaul Society/Camp is in crisis as their funding has been cut. They are seeking at least $80,000.00 in donations to continue operating this summer.
Supervisor Catalino asked the Police Department to watch Big Sister Creek for flooding with the warmer weather predicted for this upcoming weekend.
-March 28th there will be a practice Disaster Preparedness Drill for the whole Town of Evans amongst the Police Department, Town Board and Fire Departments.

RESOLUTION 113 Declare surplus vehicle
Councilman Cooper moved and Councilman Bartus seconded,
WHEREAS: the Parks Department has a vehicle that is no longer useable;
THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED: that a 1997 Ford Taurus vin #1FALP52U1VG241625 be declared a surplus vehicle.

RESOLUTION 114 Defray a portion of the cost of the workshops designed to assist local businesses to acclimate to the change in the local environment

WHEREAS: the Town of Evans, Village of Angola, Friends of the Village and the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce collaborated together to offer a series of workshops designed to assist local businesses acclimate to the change in the local environment
WHEREAS: each of the participating organizations has pledged $250 to cover the costs associated with the workshops; and
WHEREAS: the success of the first series of workshops has inspired the participating organizations to continue to offer educational opportunities to local businesses throughout 2007;
NOW BE IT
RESOLVED: that the amount of $250 is hereby authorized through the Office of Community Development to defray the cost of the series of workshops.

RESOLUTION 115 Appt of part time clerk
Councilman Cooper moved and Councilman Bartus seconded,
RESOLVED: that Judith Dutchess, 9379 Lafayette St., Angola, NY 14006 is hereby appointed as part time clerk at a rate of $7.15 per hour. This resolution shall take affect immediately.
